Rose
Gum Timbers
Rose Gum Timbers, the parent company of Solar Dryers, commenced
operations in 1990.
This company is the principal Australian producer of furniture
grade Rose Gum, Blue Gum, and Blackbutt
timber. These are important plantation species in Australia
and overseas. Most of our timber comes from regrowth forests
on Australia's east coast. These species feature excellent
growth rates under a wide range of conditions while producing
a fine medium hardwood timber.
This joinery potential has been largely neglected in the
past but these timbers are now well established as an alternative
to Jarrah, Tasmanian Oak and Western Red Cedar.
